hey arb,

the first CD i picked up was REQUIA..... you will find it described on Fahey's website.... maybe this is more to the point

i only have 3 or 4 of his many releases. but really, if you are interested in this sort of music you cannot go wring with him. he is an innovator unparalleled. he and ROBBIE BASHO really took INSTRUMENTAL/guitar folk music, to a new UNIQUELY AMERICAN level.

TRULY, in the jazz world there is DJANGO and CHARLIE CHRISTIAN.... in the world of AMERICAN FOLK MUSIC, there is JOHN FAHEY.

i would get the whole album i posted above -- The Legend of Blind Joe Death, REQUIA, for sure, Transfiguration is GREAT.... and DAYS HAVE GONE BY too....

I'd second Legend of Blind Joe Death - it's been awhile since I played that, I need to hear again after this reminder. A masterpiece.
